In the digital single album 'Shouldn't Have..', a song that 'Baek Ah Yeon' wrote herself is included. She included her personal experiences in the song as she worked with a top producer to write the tracks.

JYP엔터테인먼트가 공개한 백아연의 ‘이럴거면 그러지말지’는 1년 11개월만에 선보이는 자신의 이야기를 담은 첫 자작곡이다.

셔플리듬 위에 기타, 퍼커션 등 어쿠스틱한 악기들을 이용한 medium R&B 음악으로 직설적인 가사가 인상적인 곡이다.

음원과 함께 공개된 ‘이럴거면 그러지말지’ 뮤직비디오는 낯설지 않은 SNS소재의 장면, 이모티콘을 이용해 연인들과의 대화를 보는 듯한 느낌의 영상 기법으로 연출,표현되었다. '이럴거면 그러지말지' 뮤직비디오 공개 1개월만에 100만뷰 돌파, 전 음원 차트 1위 , 누적 조회수 1300만을 기록하고 있다.
